SENSOR 2001, dubbed 'the world's biggest fair for sensors, processing electronics, system solutions and related services' will open at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre in Germany from 8 to 10 May 2001.

More than 800 exhibitors from over 25 countries will provide their latest developments in sensor technologies, ranging from the electrical and electronic industry to diverse engineering branches, from consumer industry to automation technologies and the automobile industry.

'Visitors from diverse engineering fields will find everything they require from single components to complete solutions provided by the presence of the entire international branch,' say the organisers.

Attendant poster sessions, discussion forums and info markets as well as a parallel TEST fair will run in parallel to the exhibition.

The IRC Northern Germany, represented by the VDI/VDE-IT, invites all sensor projects funded by the European Community to show their project schemes at their booth at the fair.
