ESC holds hearing on creating a sustainable EU

The European Economic and Social Committee (ESC) will hold a joint public hearing on shaping the strategy for a sustainable European Union in Brussels on 26 and 27 April.
The hearing will provide an opportunity for stakeholders and public authorities to express their views on the Commission's consultation paper on the EU strategy on sustainable development, published on 27 March, and contribute to shaping the Commission's final proposal.
One session will focus on three priority themes from the paper: public health, management of natural resources and ageing, and another on climate change and clean energy, poverty and social exclusion, mobility, land use and territorial development.
High level representatives from the Commission and the Swedish Presidency are will speak at the event.
