International conference to examine future of steel research

A conference on the future of EU steel research following expiry of the European Coal and Steel Community Treaty on 26 July 2002.
Research Commissioner Philippe Busquin and Carlos Westendorp y Cabeza, who chairs the European Parliament's committee on industry, external trade, research and energy, will speak at the opening of the event.
