European conference for new product development

A conference focussing on the fundamental processes and models for new product development (NPD) will take place in Mantova, Italy, from 17 to18 October.

The aim is to discuss the applications, tools and information and communication technologies (ICTs) that facilitate the creation, design and manufacture of products in Europe.

Delegates will also look at the role of strategic alliances, regional environments and networks, and small, innovative companies in the creation and marketing of goods.

There will be four main themes for the event:

- Regions and new product development (NPD)
- Generation of ideas for NPD, exploitation of R&D results
- NPD tools and methodologies
