The UK centre for environmental and economics development is organising, with the support of the Commission's Enterprise DG, a workshop on ICT and sustainability, to take place in London on 22 May.

The event will analyse the effect that information and communication technologies (ICT) can have on sustainable development in the context of the Commission's policies on the competitiveness of European industry and on sustainability.

Furthermore, the workshop will explore how the use of ICT can be leveraged to make progress towards the three pillars of sustainable development - environmental, social and economic - with an emphasis on the last two.

The insights gained during the event will be gathered in a report to be published shortly afterwards.For further information, please contact:
