Launch event for SEAFOODplus Integrated Project

A new Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) Integrated Project, SEAFOODplus, will be officially launched at an event in Brussels, Belgium, on 22 January.
SEAFOODplus is supported by 14.4 million euro of EU funding under the 'food quality and safety' priority of FP6. It aims to satisfy consumer demands for healthy, safe products that have been produced using sustainable, environmentally friendly methods and processed using state of the art techniques.
Speakers at the event will include representatives from the European Commission and leading seafood researchers involved in the project. Together they will present the goals of the initiative and discuss their overall social context.For further information, please consult the following web address:
