International workshop on the risks from diffuse pollution
Soil pollution and degradation is a result of population growth and technological development. Industrial development has left a legacy of environmental damage that continues to have an impact on natural resources, and ultimately, quality of life. A wide range of artificial chemicals designed for use in industry, agriculture, pest control, consumer goods, and emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels are the main sources for diffuse pollution.
Areas for future research, such as the physical-chemical multifunctionality of soils, will be discussed at the conference.For further information, please visit:
