Information day: development of an ERA for an enlarged Union

The Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the National Contact Point (NCP) in the Slovak Republic are organising an information event entitled 'The European Commission's JRC promotes the development of a European Research Area [ERA] for an enlarged Union' on 4 and 5 March in Bratislava and Koice respectively.
The events will present highlights of recent JRC work and future research plans to scientific and technical organisations in the Slovak Republic. The intention is to promote a structured dialogue, identify potentially interested partners and pave the way for further collaboration within the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
Parallel sessions will be devoted to the following scientific areas of EU policy:
- promoting future collaboration;
- examples of collaboration in environment and energy;
