JRC information day in Bulgaria

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) and Bulgaria's National Contact Point will hold an information day in Sofia on 27 April.
The event will present highlights of recent JRC work and future research plans to representatives from Bulgaria's scientific organisations. The intention is to encourage dialogue, identify potential partnerships and to pave the way for further collaboration under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
Discussions will focus on safety and security in three core areas:
- environment and sustainability;
- food, chemical products and health;
- nuclear safety and safeguards.
These topics are accompanied by three horizontal themes:
- reference materials and measurements;
- public security and antifraud;
