VALUE at Hannover Fair, April 1994
The results obtained by the various EU research projects should benefit those immediately involved but also should be made available to all interested companies, research institutions and universities. The aim of the VALUE programme is to disseminate and exploit research findings, ensuring that Community funded research efforts enhance the competitive position of the European business community.
In particular, VALUE aims to make research findings more readily available to companies unable to participate actively in research projects, yet which depend on modern technology for their market survival.
In addition to outlining the goals and target groups of the programme, and presenting its most important instruments (the CORDIS service and the network of VALUE Relay Centres), the lecture will describe various funding possibilities and examine the prospects for the development of VALUE in the context of the Fourth Framework Programme (1994-1998).
The Hannover Fair, a world showcase for industrial technology, takes place during 20-27 April 1994. The event will present state-of-the-art technologies in areas including assembly, handling and industrial robotics, materials handling and logistics, automation technology, tools, factory equipment, and surface treatment. In association with the Fair, conferences, lectures, seminars and special events will cover a broad rang of topics.
