Particular attention will be devoted to energy policies and the role technology can play in the development of a sustainable response to the need for urban energy policies.
The main topics of the seminar will be the description and analyses of representative case studies, principally in the Mediterranean EU Member States. The four sessions include:
- Energy consumption and urban characteristics;
- Policies for urban energy programmes;
- Rational use of renewable energy technologies for urban renewal;
- Energy standards in publicly funded housing.
The targeted audience is local authority and public administration officials as well as urban planners and financial concerns.
