Conference on advancing science and society interactions

With support from the Commission's Science and Society programme, the second Living Knowledge conference, entitled 'Advancing science and society interactions', will take place in Seville, Spain, from 3 to 5 February 2005.
The event will provide a forum for discussions on community based research, carried out in both a community and academic setting, and will reflect the social impact and scientific value of research from a range of disciplines, including social, natural, physical and technological sciences.
Conference themes will include:
- the impact of communities on the research and policy agenda;
- citizen participation in research and policy making;
- the development of infrastructures for mediation and communication of community based research;
