Remote handling projects at Hannover Fair
The Fraunhofer-Institut fuer Produktionstechnik und Automatisierung will demonstrate robot handling devices and the building blocks used in their implementation. The Institute's RTD effort in these projects received aid from the EC's ESPRIT programme, the specific research and technological development programme in the field of information technologies (1990-1994), and from the TELEMAN programme of RTD in the field of tele-operated robotics for hazardous and disordered nuclear environments.
The Hannover Fair, a world showcase for industrial technology, presents state-of-the-art technologies in areas including assembly, handling and industrial robotics, materials handling and logistics, automation technology, tools, factory equipment, and surface treatment. In association with the Fair, conferences, lectures, seminars and special events will cover a broad range of topics.
