The first student-organized European Energy Workshop "Energy Technologies Reducing the Emission of Greenhouse Gasses and their Concrete Implementation in Europe" took place in Stuttgart on 21-28 September 1992. The papers presented at this event are now available.

This initiative, with the support of the European Commission (THERMIE programme), assembled students from 20 European Countries, including Central and Eastern Europe, to discuss the orientation of energy development and the protection of the environment, in particular the reduction of greenhouse gasses. Case studies and reports were presented by groups of students who had examined a situation or problem in energy technology provided by participating companies.
