Energy in buildings: Conference and exhibition, Belfast
The aim of the event is to encourage an integrated design approach to new and refurbished commercial, institutional and industrial buildings in order to achieve energy efficiency, to emphasise the cost and other advantages of incorporating energy saving strategies at the design stage, and to highlight the economic and environmental benefits of this approach to all those in the property chain from developer to end user.
Speakers at the conference will discuss a number of recent energy design schemes and case studies, regulatory developments, monitoring and control, and financial considerations. In addition, there will be a review of EC programmes supporting architectural strategies for reducing energy use in buildings, developing new materials and components, and promoting these strategies to European designers and students.
The conference, and the associated exhibition of materials and technologies, is expected to be of interest to architects, property investors and developers, energy and facility managers, building services engineering consultants, quantity and building surveyors, building contractors, and suppliers of energy-related building products and services.
