A proposers day will be held on 3 May 1994 in Luxembourg to coincide with the call for proposals for exploratory actions in multimedia publishing (OJ No S 51 of 15.3.1994) launched by DG XIII of the European Commission.

Participation at the event is open to all those intending to submit a proposal as well as those interested in learning more about the Commission's information engineering initiative. The proposers day will:
- Identify the user constituencies involved;
- Identify research priorities;
- Outline the infrastructure and information services requirements and how they will be met;
- Estimate the extent to which existing products and facilities can be used and the results from other research programmes which can be usefully exploited.

As a result of this call for proposals, selected feasibility projects will be supported on a shared-cost basis by the European Commission, depending on the task, subject to a maximum contribution of ECU 1,000,000 per project and a maximum duration of six months.
