eAccessibility conference:
Organised by the UK Presidency of the EU, the eAccessibility conference has been planned as a key opportunity for Member States, businesses, disability and elderly groups, as well as other stakeholders from across the European Union, to discuss the forthcoming communication from the European Commission on e-accessibility. The proposal will be available on the European Commission's website on 31 August.
The communication is expected to provide a roadmap for ensuring that all European citizens are given equal access to, and benefit from, information communication technology (ICT) products and services in the future.
This pan-European event will include keynote speeches from a European Commissioner, a UK Minister, and speakers from industry and other EU Member States.
The conference will have three full sessions on e-accessibility, as well as four concurrent workshops on the following topics:
- Internet
- broadcasting
- telecommunications
