A European Conference on library networking in Europe

A conference on library networking in Europe will take place in Brussels on 12-14 October 1994. The event is being organized by EFLC (European Foundation for Library Cooperation) with the support of the LIBRARIES programme of the European Commission.
The conference is designed to help libraries to make the best use of networks and other technical developments and to share experiences in this field at European level.
A high-level representation of the LIBRARIES programme will address the subject of "Library networking in Europe" which will focus on management procedures and cooperation at a European level. Some thirty experts will present their experiences in the areas of electronic publishing, new bibliographic services, OSI standards and multimedia.
The LIBRARIES programme will in addition present the programme's "Project Review". This will highlight the impact and the spin-off effect of this important programme launched four years ago and the next EU plan of action for libraries will be outlined during this conference.
