BRITE/EURAM workshop on construction technology

The European Commission will hold a two-day workshop on construction technology on 20-21 June 1994 in Odense, Denmark. The workshop is intended for delegates from all current BRITE/EURAM financed research projects.

The workshop will include a presentation on managing research and development projects related to the building construction and civil engineering sector which have been funded under the BRITE/EURAM programme.

BRITE/EURAM deals with industrial and materials technologies and aims to revitalize European industry by reinforcing its scientific and technological base through research and development.

The projects to be presented during this workshop will focus on the following:
- Improving design and construction methods;
- Knowledge of new materials;
- Degradation processes and repair techniques;
- Promoting European collaboration and improving industry and university cooperation.

A final discussion forum, entitled "State-of-the-art and trends in construction technology" will be open to the delegates of the "Concrete across borders" conference which will take place, following the workshop, on 22-25 June 1994. This conference is organized by the Danish Concrete Association in collaboration with the Danish Concrete Institute.
