Current clinical applications of stem cells

A workshop on current clinical applications of stem cells will take place in London, UK, on 20 March.

Organised by the EU funded EuroStemCell project, the workshop will provide a panoramic view of current applications of stem cell research in clinical practice.

Major themes include:
- bone marrow transplantation;
- cultured epidermis grafting;
- transplantation of cutaneous stem cells;
- cornea grafting with cultured limbal stem cells;
- clinical islet transplantation;
- clinical applications of adult liver stem progenitor cells.

EuroStemCell is an Integrated Project under the 'life sciences, genomics, and biotechnology for health' priority of the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
