"Vision EUREKA Lillehammer '94" is a series of 18 technology conferences which will take place in Lillehammer, Norway on 13-17 June 1994. The conferences will be attended by a total of 4,000 leading European decision makers in applied science, technology and industry.

"Vision EUREKA" is timed to coincide with the 12th EUREKA Ministerial Conference on 16 June 1994 which is being hosted by the Norwegian Chairmanship.

The conferences are designed to provide participants with the current technological developments in each area and to present a forum for exchanging results, partners, information and possible commercial opportunities. The eighteen conferences are as follows:
- Small and Medium-sized Enterprises: Technology transfer and cooperation for competitive advantage;
- Energy for the future;
- Oil and gas research - synergy with EC programmes;
- Information technology for environmental management;
- Industrial opportunities in waste management;
- Light metals in the automotive industry;
- Food processing '94;
- Efficient and environmentally friendly freight transport;
- Tourism: cooperation and application of new technologies;
- FAMOS - Flexible automatic assembly systems;
- Underground openings for public use;
- Wood in design and construction - from tradition to future technological challenges;
- New technology for concrete structures offshore;
- Commercial buildings in an environmental perspective;
- A sustainable approach to housing qualities;
- New technology for management and maintenance of old and new built environments;
- The European building and construction market towards the year 2000;
- Quality management in building and construction.

The European Union has been a member of EUREKA since its inception and contributes to it's evolution. The EU RTD programmes and EUREKA converge towards the same goal: the reinforcement of the technological base and the improvement of European industrial competitiveness.

The EU participates in EUREKA through its own research capacity (Joint Research Centre), RTD programmes and financial facilities, as well as through the creation of a suitable environment for technological cooperation and the development of enterprises.
