The 14th International Workshop on In Vitro Toxicology (INVITOX 2006) will take place from 2 to 5 October in Ostend, Belgium.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers and students from academia and industry to discuss new concepts in 'in vitro' technology, and some of the challenges they present. The scientific programme will include lectures, workshops, original communications and poster sessions, covering the following:

- strategies to develop sensitive and specific molecular markers (genes and proteins);
- the use of advanced cell technology, how to address sensitive subgroups such as children;
- ecotoxicology;
- testing for endpoints related to major human health effects;
- endocrine disruption and immune effects

The work shop is organised by the European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV) in cooperation with the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO).For more information, please visit:
