Commissioner Ruberti to visit Japan

Professor A. Ruberti, Commissioner responsible for Science, Research and Development, will visit Tokyo on 8-10 June 1994.
The main aim of the visit will be to discuss relations between Japan and the Community in the field of research and development. He will attend the Science and Technology Forum on 8 June in Tokyo. The Forum will address the following issues:
- Research and technological development strategies: Comparison of Japanese and Community RTD systems;
- Human resources;
- Bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Japan and the Community (including cooperation with the OPEC countries and the CIS);
- Future cooperation activities between Japan and the Community (including information networks and RTD strategies in the field of energy).
