Telematics requirements and options meeting
Prior to the meeting, the Commission launched the "Requirements and options" exercise to collect the views of future programme partners (industries, universities, users, and public authorities). Some 600 participants, working in 14 panels, identified requirements and options for the next RTD programme on telematics applications.
On the basis of the 14 panel reports, the Commission produced a "Requirements and options" overall report which regroups in 13 chapters the major contributions from the panel reports.
The meeting will discuss the "Requirements and options" overall report with a view to:
- Allowing important partners who were not involved in the requirements and options panels to exchange views with representatives of these panels in order to comment and improve upon each of the 13 chapters of the report;
- Fostering the transparency and visibility of the process of elaboration and adoption of the work programme for the telematics applications programme.
The European Commission Host Organization will provide a brief introduction to CORDIS during the plenary session and will be present during the two days to talk to delegates and demonstrate the CORDIS CD-ROM.
