The sixth EGEE (Enabling Grids for e-Science) Industry Day will take place in Pisa, Italy from 24 to26 January.
This three-day event will provide a platform to examine risk management, current experiences and challenges, implementation and future opportunities for banks, finance institutions, and insurance companies using or planning to use grid technology.
Some of Europe's key players and decision makers from business, finance and research organisations will address key issues on business intelligence in finance, credit and operational risk management and internationalisation in collaboration with the EU funded project MUSING.
The event will discuss industry involvement with the presence of private enterprises already deploying and vending Grid software solutions in the finance sector. It looks to highlight the advantages of using grid technology, ultimately generating optimal use of IT resources and increased revenues in the finance sector.
A half-day presentation on the final day, organised by the European Grid Forum, EGRID, will focus on an application for finance, specifically data management and applications running on EGRID.For more information, please visit:
