ANNIE seminar on applications of neural networks in industry (ESPRIT)

Results of the ESPRIT project "Applications of Neural Networks for Industry in Europe" (ANNIE) will be disclosed at two 1991 seminars to be held in the United Kingdom (London, 2-3 May) and in Germany (Frankfurt-am Main, 7-8 May). Since 1988, the project has involved cooperation between ten European industrial and research organizations, led by AEA Industrial Technology of Harwell, and has investigated applications including: Pattern recognition in inspection and non-destructive testing; control systems for collision avoidance and path planning for autonomous vehicles; optimization of airline crew scheduling. The seminars will also cover the work undertaken in background theory, choice of network techniques and aspects of hardware and software performance.
