The European Space Agency (ESA) will hold an advanced training course on the exploitation of Earth Observation data from ESA and Third Party Mission instruments for land applications, in Lisbon, Portugal, from 2 to 7 September.

The course targets the European and Canadian research and development community, and in particular post-doc research as well as Masters and PhD students.

The course will focus on global monitoring for the environment and security (GMES) land thematic priorities:
- land resources (forestry, agriculture, land cover and land use);
- disasters (fires, floods, terrain motion);
- water resources (water availability).

It will include lectures by leading scientists, as well as hands-on computing exercises.For further information, please visit:
