MAST at OCEANS '94

The European Community's programme on marine science and technology, MAST, will be participating in the OCEANS '94 conference which will take place on 13-16 September 1994 in Brest, France.

The European Community's programme on marine science and technology, MAST, will be participating in the OCEANS '94 conference which will take place on 13-16 September 1994 in Brest, France.

The theme of this year's conference will be "Oceans engineering for today's technology and tomorrow's preservation". The conference will cover all aspects of oceanic engineering with a broad overview of modern oceanography objectives and practices.

The programme for the conference has been designed around specialized sessions which deal with specific technologies or applications. These include:

- Oceanic monitoring and modelling;
- Satellite sensors and data for oceanography;
- Underwater robotics and vehicles;
- Instrumentation development and deployment;
- Theoretical and applied information analyses;
- Underwater acoustics, wave propagation and modelling;
- Applied underwater acoustics systems.
