The second annual Arctic Frontiers conference will take place at the University of Tromsø, Norway, from 20 to 25 January. The event will be split in two. A policy-making conference (20 to 22 January) will be dedicated to social, economic and cultural perspectives of Arctic oil and gas development, environmental challenges and consequences of climate change. The second part (23 to 25 January) will focus on scientific aspects of oil and gas development in the Arctic as well as the status of the Arctic ecosystem.
The conference will be hosted in cooperation with the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program (AMAP), a permanent working group of the Arctic Council, which will launch the results from its three-year circumpolar study, Assessment of Oil and Gas Activities in the Arctic.For further information, please visit:
