Conference on agri-food research in the Western Balkan countries

A conference on the situation and future of agri-food research in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, on 27 March.
The conference will build on the results of the EU-funded 'Balkan Agrofood Network' (BAFN) project, which is due to end in April 2008. The project partners carried out a detailed survey of the situation of agricultural and food research in the Western Balkans and have drawn up reports on the research capacity in each country. Expert panels have also identified future priorities for agri-food research in the region. Ideas for potential EU-funded projects have also been gathered.For more information, please visit:
