The fourth annual conference of the EU-funded EADGENE project, will be held in Edinburgh, UK, from 9 to 12 June. The theme of the event is 'animal disease genomics: opportunities and applications'.

The event will focus on the latest genetics and genomics research in the field of farm animal health, and will feature presentations by keynote speakers and leading specialists in their fields which will update delegates on the latest animal genomics research. The event includes the following sessions:

- developments in animal genomics;
- EADGENE progress in animal genomics;
- interaction with Med-Vet-Net (the European Network of Excellence for zoonoses research);
- EADGENE Applications;
