A European Innovation Convention (EIC) will take place in Stuttgart, Germany, on 11-12 October 1994. It is the first in a new series of events organized by the Baden-Wurttemberg Agency for International Economic Cooperation and the VALUE Relay Centre Stuttgart. It is financially supported by the European Commission, DG XXIII, in the framework of its INTERPRISE cooperation programme.

The aim of the EIC is to present EC-funded research results to industry, to bring suppliers and demanders of new technologies into contact with each other and to further the introduction of these new technologies into the market.

The October convention will focus on the topic of "New environmental technologies for industry - Rational production techniques and recycling".

Workshops will present the results of projects funded by the CRAFT, BRITE/EURAM and ENVIRONMENT programmes of the European Commission (DG XII).
