A workshop on 'Regions of Knowledge: synergies in EU funding opportunities for research, development and innovation' will take place on 9 October in Brussels, Belgium.
Regions of Knowledge is an initiative funded under the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), which is intended to help turn Europe into a dynamic and competitive knowledge-based economy. The workshop will provide opportunities to discuss how research-driven regional clusters following the 'triple helix' model can achieve just that.
Special attention will be given to synergies between the EU's research, innovation and cohesion policies for 2007-2013.
The workshop will be held as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities (6 to 9 October).For further information on the workshop, please contact:
