The European Space Agency (ESA) is organising a workshop on satellite navigation user equipment technologies (NAVITEC 2008) from 10 to 12 December in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

The workshop is intended to provide an open forum to space-borne and terrestrial satellite navigation equipment designers, developers, integrators and users, as well as representatives of universities and agencies.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their technical expertise and experiences via formal presentations, informal discussions and roundtables. Furthermore, NAVITEC 2008 will provide an overview of satellite navigation technologies that are available or currently being developed.

In this fourth edition of the event, special attention will be paid to the hybridisation of satellite radionavigation technologies with other navigation technologies, such as inertial sensors and wireless networks. Special focus will also be put on early GALILEO receiver technologies and experimentation.For further information, please visit:
