In its capacity as the UK's National Contact Point (NCP) for the European Research Council (ERC), the UK Research Office will hold a series of information events for researchers, either based in the UK or moving there, who are interested in applying for ERC Advanced Grants.

Locations and dates are as follows:
- University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, 28 November;
- Durham University, 8 December;
- University of Oxford, 11 December;
- University of Birmingham, 12 December;
- University of Greenwich in London, 17 December.

The aim of each session is to provide participants with an overview of the ERC in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), focusing on the Advanced Grants. The sessions will be of particular interest to UK-based researchers planning to submit a proposal. Two identical sessions will be held at each venue, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.For further information, please visit:
