PRACE ('Partnership for advanced computing in Europe') is organising a winter school on petascale computing from 10 to 13 February 2009 in Athens, Greece.
The event addresses potential users of future petascale systems in Europe. Researchers and students from Europe and beyond will receive advanced training in:
- programming models and optimisation techniques;
- message passing interface (MPI)/open multi-processing (OpenMP);
- hybrid programming and profiling.
The first three days of the winter school will focus on in-depth presentations for a thorough understanding of these high-performance computing (HPC) topics during morning lectures, followed by hands-on training in the afternoon. The last day will be dedicated to a novel multiprocessor architecture, with all-day parallel lectures and hands-on training.For further information, please visit:
