AquaTerra final project conference, Tübingen, Germany
The final conference of the EU-funded AquaTerra project will take place from 25 to 27 March 2009 in Tübingen, Germany.
The objective is to discuss the state of knowledge gained during the five-year duration of the project, which studied the river, sediment, soil and groundwater system as a whole. The conference will also try to give directions and incentives for future research. Talks and discussions will revolve around four principal subjects:
- processes: colloid mobilisation and transport, sorption, biodegradation, mobility of heavy metals, isotope fractionation;
- monitoring: monitoring networks, sensors and passive sampling techniques, tracer techniques;
- modelling: modelling at the watershed/basin-scale - case studies and modelling concepts;
- future scenarios: water availability, climate change, global chemodynamics, policy implementation and costs.
The conference is open to all researchers.For further information, please visit:
