A conference on 'Science and values: the politicisation of science' will be held in Bielefeld, Germany, from 25 to 30 May.
This event will be the first in a series of biennial conferences under the heading of 'Science and values', which will address not only the politicisation of science but also its commercialisation and medialisation.
Each conference will bring together the knowledge and reflective competence of three disciplines, including the history, philosophy, and sociology of science. Analyses from science studies experts will be enriched by the experience and understanding of practitioners, such as scientists working under value-related pressure (as it arises from practical challenges and social demands).For further information, please visit:
