A workshop on "Urban public transport" will take place during this year's THERMIE exhibition, which is being held on 19-24 September 1994 in Berlin. It is organized by the European Commission (DG XVII).
The workshop, which will take place on 21 September, will discuss the challenges faced by West and East German transport companies when the Berlin Wall came down five years ago.
An overview will be provided of innovate technologies implemented over the past few years in urban public transport in Berlin.
A case-study will present a THERMIE supported project in the transport sector in Berlin which aims to facilitate traffic flow and to reduce energy consumption and environmental pollution.
