Conference on the Fourth Framework Programme

A conference on the Fourth Framework Programme will take place in Paris on 11 October 1994. The event is taking place with the collaboration of the French VALUE Relay Centre.

The conference will include sessions on the following:

- The Fourth Framework Programme for research and technological development (1994-1998);
- The contents of the specific programmes for advanced telecommunications, telematics and information technologies;
- Participation in the specific programmes of the Fourth Framework Programme;
- Dissemination of results and the role of the VALUE relay centres.

The conference is intended to provide a thorough insight for those involved in commercial and academic research activities and Community initiatives. The event will be attended by Commission officials with expert knowledge in each of the areas tabled for discussion. It will also provide ample opportunity for discussion and examination of current issues.

The event will provide a timely forum for information on the Fourth Framework Programme. The Council adopted the specific programme on advanced telecommunications on 27 June 1994 and is scheduled to adopt the specific programmes dealing with information technologies and telematics on 29 September 1994. The calls for tender are expected to be published in the Official Journal for all adopted programmes on 15 December 1994.
