The Italian Region of Piedmont and the B3 Regions ('Regions for better broadband connection') project are organising a conference entitled 'European regions for better ICT connections' on 2 and 3 April in Turin, Italy.
The European Commission's economic recovery plan for Europe includes a proposal to channel part of the unspent EU budget into broadband investment and the development of an EU broadband strategy. As part of this process, the Commission is launching a set of initiatives aimed at starting a wide consultation on issues surrounding the strategy.
The conference will focus on information about spending by the European Union on broadband in the context of the recovery plan and the sharing of broadband best practices between rural and regional development authorities.For further information, please visit:
