Workshop on advanced life support for space exploration, Barcelona, Spain

The European Space Agency is organising the 'European advanced life support workshop' from 2 to 4 June in Barcelona, Spain.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for European industries and entities to exchange experience and information related to advanced life support systems for space exploration (LSS). While there has been a call for authors to present their papers at the event, the main focus will be on brainstorming.

The following topics are on the agenda:
- air revitalisation;
- water recycling;
- waste recycling;
- food production and preparation;
- quality control (microbial & chemical);
- safety and reliability aspects;
- system studies (i.e. definition and comparison of LSS architectures) and associated tools;
