A conference on establishing collaborations and cross-fertilizations between projects on the 'Internet of the Future' will be held from 29 to 30 June in Berlin, Germany.

Entitled 'The THESEUS Symposium', the event is part of the THESEUS initiative. This effort is designed to be a joint research project that involves major industries, academic institutions and national endeavours based on different visions of what the 'Internet of the Future' could and should be.

The conference is meant to create a balance between views from different parts of the world, as well as between developments in research and industry. Participation by different governmental authorities in these developments with their funding strategies will also be on the agenda.

During the first day, strategies for developing future technologies and applications for the Internet will be examined. A technology session on the second day will look at technology hot spots in the development of the 'Internet of the Future'.For further information, please visit:
