It will expose graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to cutting-edge research in a wide area of mitochondrial biology in diverse species. The meeting is focused mainly on aspects of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) metabolism and mtDNA gene expression, mitochondrial protein synthesis, import and sorting, the role of mitochondria in disease and ageing, the assembly of respiratory complexes, novel aspects of metabolic and biosynthetic functions of mitochondria, and the dynamic behaviour of the organelle within the cell. For further information, please visit:http://www.febsmito2009.com/
