The SPUTNIC ('Strategies for public transport in cities') project will hold its final conference on 3 July in Brussels, Belgium.

At the event, scientists and public transport experts will present the results of two and a half years of work studying emerging issues and state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of public transport, as well as providing specific guidelines and practical tools to make public transport more attractive and efficient.

SPUTNIC is a three-year European project funded under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). Its main goals are exploring challenges and best practises in public transport in transitional economies, with a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe.For further information, please visit:
