An international symposium on "Responses of trees and forests to global change" will take place in Dourdan, France, on 19-22 October 1994.
The meeting is being organized by the participants in the ECOCRAFT project, which is funded by the COST programme. Topics for discussion are:
- Biochemical and molecular approaches;
- Photosynthesis and respiration;
- Comparison of species, functional types, interactions with nutrients, temperatures, phenology and water stress;
- Root functions and mycorchizae;
- Ecosystem processes;
- Modelling tree and forest ecosystems responses.
