An international forum on 'Research and development (R&D) for eco-innovation: research for combining environmental priorities with economic opportunities' will take place on 22 and 23 October in Katowice, Poland.
This one and a half day event will offer an opportunity to identify, prioritise and recommend research needs for eco-innovations and ways of improving eco-innovation research governance in an active discussion between researchers, research programme managers and funders and representatives of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research.
On the basis of feedback from the international scientific community, the organisers hope that the event will help plan future work programmes under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) as well as joint actions under the European Research Area Network (ERA-Net) eco-innovation proposal.
The event is organised by the International Scientific Thematic Network on Environmental Technologies ENVITECH-Net in cooperation with partners from Germany, Spain, Poland and the United Kingdom.For further information, please click:
