The EU-funded NANOCHARM ('Multifunctional nanomaterials characterisation exploiting ellipsometry and polarimetry') project is organising its third winter school on ellipsometry from 27 February to 5 March 2010 in Bad Hofgastein, Austria.

Under the title 'Fundamentals and applications in nanoscience and nanotechnology', the winter school will offer basic and advanced lectures with a special focus on plasmons and negative refraction structures.

The school is aimed at students, researchers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) interested in ellipsometry. It will help participants understand the properties of nanomaterials, nanodevices and related processes through the use of polarimetry and ellipsometry techniques.For further information, please click:
