Workshop on fish and mollusc larviculture

A workshop entitled "Improvement of the commercial production of marine aquaculture species" will take place in Puerto Montt, Chile on 5-9 December 1994.
The event is being funded by the Europea Union and will consist of plenary and technical sessions on the following topics:
- Scientific and economic impact of EU supported research in Chile;
- Aquaculture as a factor for integrated coastal development;
- Marine fish farming in Europe;
- Cultivation techniques for Atlantic halibut, turbot and cod in Norway;
- Large-scale fish farming in Chile.
The workshop aims to disseminate the results of joint research activities carried out between Europe and Chile, to evaluate the state of marine larviculture technology and to define the critical areas for larviculture research.
