The First International Workshop on the Web of Things (WoT 2010) will be on 29 March 2010 in Mannheim, Germany.

The goal of this workshop is to explore novel pervasive computing applications where homogeneous devices and centrally managed infrastructure are not available.

The idea of a 'Web of Things' is a conceptual network of objects that contain embedded devices or computer, connected by fully integrating them to the Internet.

Event organisers will encourage participants to explore and discuss specific issues related to the Web of Things such as loose coupling, massive scalability, interoperability, composition, heterogeneity, and discovery in the context of pervasive computing. There will also be an emphasis on applications and prototypes based on Web paradigms and technologies to integrate everyday things and embedded devices.For further information, please visit:
